Come and join us for our open morning 2022
It’s that time of year when we give prospective parents the chance to explore our school, see the children in action and meet the leadership team in person.
If you’d like to reserve a space on Tuesday 29 November at 9:00am, please complete the following form: SCHOOL OPEN DAY 2022
THE FORM WILL BE LIVE BETWEEN TUESDAY 20 SEPTEMBER AND MONDAY 28 NOVEMBER
Trip – Friday 30th September 2022
We can’t wait to take the children on their first trip in Year 3! We will be heading to Bishop’s Wood on Friday 30th September where we will venture into the Stone Age. Children will need to bring in a packed lunch and water bottle and wear jogging bottoms, a school top (either PE or uniform) and comfortable shoes such as trainers. They will also need a raincoat and wellies if it is wet.
We are also looking for parent helpers on the day, if you are available and would like to join us then please let Mrs Smith or Mrs Barker know.
Please join us for our curriculum meetings. They’re a fantastic opportunity to meet your child’s new teaching team and to learn more about what’s in store for the children this year. This is especially important if your child is in Year 6 or Year 2 as SATS information will be shared.
Key Stage 2: Tuesday 13 September at 9:00am
Key Stage 2: Thursday 15 September at 9:00am
Location: Year group classrooms
Duration: 30 minutes
Please join us for our curriculum meeting on Thursday 15 September at 9:00am. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet your child’s new teaching team and to learn more about what’s in store for the children this year, including how we approach the national tests in May (SATS).
Location: Year 2 classrooms
Duration: 30 minutes
Our deepest condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
What makes Astwood Bank Primary a school that loves to read? Well look at this! This week we delivered a huge box of wonderful books to every class in the school. Thanks to Mrs Smith for all of her hard work, launching the ABPS Book Challenge. What a great way to start the year! Let’s see who can read all of their year group’s books by the end of the year and receive a reward…
