"A centre of learning and opportunity"

All Wrapped Up with our Ancient Egyptian topic…

Our Ancient Egypt Week has come to an end, bringing the topic to a close with some fun. Year 5 have had a great week, creating amazing canopic jars (organs included), performing the mummification ritual, and presenting their OUTSTANDING Egyptian projects – we’re truly blown away with the effort and creativity. We’ve had friction fun, cartouche creations and painting hieroglyphic messages. Hopefully the children have learnt plenty along the way!

Homework 3rd May – 10th May

Homework is on Purple Mash this week and it is to design a pirate map to fit in with our All at Sea topic. We hope the children have lots of fun doing this.

From The Year 1 Team

Our Farm trip was amazing!

We had such a great time visiting the farm. We learnt so much and loved our hands on experience.

READING

Dear all,

We have noticed that the majority of the children are not reading enough. Our homework policy is that your child is reading 10 minutes each night either to you or themselves. Then please record this in the white Reading Record book.

To give you an idea of what we expect, children on the yellow, green or blue levels should be reading 2-3 books a week.

Your support is appreciated.
