Upper school choir – Year 5&6

Our y5&6 choir have given some heart-warming and accomplished performances in recent years and the videos and photos are in the gallery below. We will be bringing some festive cheer to the local welfare association Christmas meal again this year and will make our glorious return to The Palace Theatre in the summer.

Year 3&4 Choir

Our choir will perform again at the Grandparents’ Tea Party on Monday 16th November and children can now sign up for choir HERE. Please make sure you have seen the full media statement below as this explains the permission you are giving by signing up.

Young Voices 2026 was an amazing success and the children had a wonderful time. They were excellent ambassadors for the school and we enjoyed going with our friends from Webheath and Feckenham. Those songs will long linger in our minds!! The video from the evening is in the resource folder – Enjoy!! We attend YV every two years as this event is a huge undertaking and quite expensive for families.

Past highlights from our choir

Joining our choir – statement and media permission

Upon joining choir for the first time, we ask for a specific media consent. We take online safety very seriously; no child will be named in our videos, and links will be posted on the choir page. As a school we can’t guarantee how this material will be used once it is in the public domain. If you have any questions or concerns about this issue please do ask.

We intend to have lots of fun with choir but do regard it as a serious commitment so please do reinforce this with your children. Our choir members are often seen performing in public places and are always excellent ambassadors for the school. Remember, the first port of call for information is always the choir page on the school website.

Part of the fun of being in choir is sharing photos and videos of our performances. We have our own YouTube channel and also feature on the school’s social media channel with links to Facebook and Instagram. Most children in choir have full permission for this but we are able to cater for children who are unable to give this permission. This might involve being moved out of shot so as to not appear in videos – or being at the side so as to be cropped out. We can also blur faces if people appear inadvertently.

From September 2026, when giving choir media consent, you are agreeing to the following statement: My child would like to join the school choir and I am happy for video footage and photographs to be taken at concerts and events. I am also happy for photos and video featuring my child to appear online, such as on YouTube, on the school socials (Facebook & Instagram) and also in local newspapers. I will inform school if this situation changes.

If your child wants to join choir, but you are unable to give this media consent for whatever reason, please do come and talk to me and we may be able to make a separate provision.
