Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility
Our school fully recognises its moral and statutory responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, which is defined as: protecting children from maltreatment; preventing the impairment of children’s mental and physical health or development; ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care; and taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
We will follow the procedures set out by the local safeguarding partners and take account of guidance issued by the Department for Education (DfE). Where we identify children and families in need of support, we will carry out our responsibilities in accordance with the local safeguarding partner and local inter agency procedures and levels of need guidance, liaising with the safeguarding partner and working with other agencies.
We ask that all visitors report to our main office where, upon signing in, they will be given additional guidance about our safeguarding procedures.
We’re committed to the safety and happiness of our pupils, so if you have any concerns about a child at our school, we encourage you to talk to any one of our safeguarding team. You can also reach our safeguarding governor by emailing: [email protected]
