YEAR 3

YEAR 3

Welcome to Year 3

We are reading the amazing ‘Butterfly Lion’ by Michael Morpurgo. In Spring 1, we learn about school in the 1960s and talk to people who attended our school during these years. We compare our country to other countries in Europe. Last term, we used hand saws to create a magnetic maze and we build on this DT project in our science lessons when we learn about forces and magnets. During Spring 2, we learn all about the Romans! We know our classes are very excited for this topic. We study the Roman invasion on Britain and how this has impacted on our lives today. In science, we investigate light and ask, why do we need light? In RE, we learn about festival that are celebrated in the Jewish and Muslim faith. We visit the local Mosque and find out how they prayer, socialise, perform wudu and learn about the Muslim faith.
